Democratic candidate for State Representative, district 65, Gary Brown (Center) was defeated by Republican Ron Simmons last night for the seat opened up by Burt Solomons, who is retiring. Brown was up-beat, and Democrats on-hand for the election watch party thanked him for running. Brown took 38.6% of the vote, out-performing all other Democratic candidates on the ballot in Denton County.
