Closed-Door Health Care

As an American citizen, I need to be part of this very important decision on our health care. This is my health care, this is your health care, and this is all of our health care. This is not Congress health care package.

If we are part of the process, we will have a better understanding of how they get to the why of it all. By closing the American people out of the process of making health care for all it becomes health care for none. I do not give a damm what the democrats’ think or the republicans’ think. I care what we the American people think.

If the process had been open to the American people from the beginning, I believe we would have some sort of new Health care reform already. Instead, the Health care debate is behind close doors with only half of the country getting in.

Victory being called by Reid and Pelosi while the country still straches its head. This Health care debate has become nothing more than the democrats and the republicans’ acting like kids. The democrats’ hiding behind locked doors in their secret health care club while the republicans’ hold there breath and just say no.

Folks this is not their health it is ours. No matter what happens, the congress and the senate will never see the inside of a waiting room like you and I.

It is time to take the Health Care debate and all debates back to the people. No more lock doors no more acting like spoiled brats in Washington.

Send me to Washington for you. Not to bicker like a child, but to fight for you. I know what the stakes are.

 Re: Closed-Door Health Care
Not to make excuses for them, but we all witnessed what happened with HR 3900. It was out there, and people were going off the deep end saying there were death panels and suicide counseling and all sorts of other crazy shit.

I wish we could get the corporate lobbyists and special interest money out of this, and just have a rational conversation about what needs to happen, what are the likely outcomes, and how do we avoid the unintended consequences. I've been so sick of the demagoguery that I've just basically mentally signed out from this process, and I think that's sad.

Steve, I agree totally with you. I am just saying we need an open and honest discussion in everything these days. As you say “just have a rational conversation.”

If I am fortunate enough to be elected, I will always be having open discussions. Heck it is our country not the special interest that Mike Burgess dines with at the Capitol Club. I read your blog daily not because I always agree with you but because you have a right to be heard and more importantly ..listen to. I will always do that.

Like I said in the paper Closed-Door Health Care

HR 3900, yes that was quite a time watching that. I Agree with Don on this and you Steve. However, Steve as you say, “basically mentally signed out from this process, and I think that's sad.” That is what Burgess and his insurance cronies want you to do. Just become numb.

Both sides of the isle want that. Nancy Pepsi wants us to see the 30 sec sound bite of we won we have health care. That is just not true and it is a bad way of trying to build momentum.

Open honest debate as Don says and we will have Health Care Reform we can all live with. Open honest debate is what will bring us together as a country again. I am not seeing the transparency our president promised us. The reason I voted for him.

Family Guy (yes I know how to spell Pelosi)
