Saturday, December 4th: Holiday at the Hall Festival The eighth annual Holiday at the Hall festival will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, in Old Town Lewisville, featuring a three of the most popular events from previous festivals -- Breakfast with Santa, Motorcycle Toy Run and Sam Pack’s Ford Country of Lewisville Christmas Parade.
“I hope everyone is able to join us in Old Town Lewisville for this year’s celebration and kick off the holiday season with a great family event,” said Mayor Dean Ueckert.
Saturday’s slate of events and activities will begin with the popular Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. The Greater Lewisville Kiwanis Club will prepare a holiday feast of pancakes and sausage. Breakfast with Santa activities will engage children in caroling and holiday art projects. Along with taking a picture with Santa from 8-10:45 a.m., children can build a Stick Horse for use in next year’s Western Days Kiwanis Stick Horse Rodeo.
The 12th annual Motorcycle Toy Run will bring hundreds of bikers downtown to spread the holiday spirit by collecting toys for local charities. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and riders will depart from Old Town at 1:30 p.m. to complete a circuit through Lewisville, For information, please call 972.219.3560. Participants are asked to donate a new unwrapped toy (at least a $10 value) as their entry fee. The toys will be collected and distributed to Child Protective Services of Denton County, Christian Community Action and Friends of the Family.
The 2010 Sam Pack’s Ford Country Christmas Parade will go through the heart of Old Town Lewisville, beginning at 2 p.m. Past parade entries have included local favorites such as Lewisville High School band and drill team, local dance and martial arts academies, businesses, civic organizations, school groups, Scouts, equestrians, decorated vehicles, parade floats and more.
Parade applications and routes, along with other Holiday at the Hall information, are available at www.cityoflewisville.com.

 Sunday, December 26th - LLELA Bison Tour Lewisville Lake Environment Learning Area invites visitors to spend part of the Christmas weekend at the wildlife preserve for the popular Bison Tour experience on Sunday, Dec. 26. The tour begins at 2 p.m. (sign-in begins at 1:45) at the LLELA gatehouse, where participants will meet herd owner Robert Vaughan and then drive out for an opportunity to see the bison up close and personal. The bison normally are off view in a secure area of the preserve, so this is a chance to visit areas not normally open to the public.
All ages are welcome, but reservations are required. Cost is $2 per person in addition to the LLELA gate fee of $5 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 972.219.3930. Visitors are encouraged to bring sunscreen, drinking water and a hat.

Saturday, January 29th: "Ageless" Fashion Show As part of Lewisville’s Pre-Bowl Pop Bash, the "Ageless" Fashion Show, presented by Lewisville Convention & Visitors Bureau, is set for Saturday, Jan. 29, 3:30-4:30 p.m., at Vista Ridge Mall, 2401 S. Stemmons Freeway.
Hosted by Steve Kemble, America's Sassiest Lifestyle Guru and a popular program host on Style Network, the "Ageless" fashion show will feature clothing for all members of the family presented by Vista Ridge Mall merchants. The show is free, and attendees will be able to receive free professional makeovers afterward. For those with less interest in fashion, a car show will be held in the mall parking lot throughout the afternoon.

February 24-26 - Bassmaster Central Open Bassmaster is set to return to Lewisville Lake, kicking off its 2011 season with a Bassmaster Central Open on Feb. 24-26.
This will be the fifth Bassmaster event held at Lewisville Lake. Lewisville Lake also is the annual home to the National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship and the Big Bass Tour North Texas Classic.
The Lewisville event, hosted by the Lewisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be based at Lewisville Lake Park. The final weigh-in on Feb. 26 will be held at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine. Bass Pro is the series title sponsor. Anglers can register for the event on-line at Bassmaster.com starting Nov. 30. The full 2011 series schedule is available at Bassmaster.com.
