Chris Roark of the Flower Mound Leader has the rundown of the agenda at Monday night's Lewisville ISD Board meeting.
Since the district has only had 144 employees accept the original offer for 10% of salary, the district will up the offer to 15% to see if it can get more resignations. The offer will be retroactive to those who took the 10%.
The district will also try to reduce liability for vacation accrual by capping the amount of vacation that can be carried forward by year-round (non-teacher) employees.
Last week the administration announced it would renew probationary contracts for next year.
The district's aim has been to reduce some of its personnel expenses by shifting from more highly-paid experienced personnel to a less-expensive greener workforce.
