Filing ended Friday in the May 29th primary election. We'll bring you a list of who is running, but we'll say that the only contested race for Denton County local races on the Democratic side is the race for party chair between Phyllis Wolper and John McClelland. I like both of them.
Under attack in Texas, Planned Parenthood is fighting back. I don't know whether to call it ironic or just sad that these misguided and ignorant actions by so-called "pro-life" extremists will actually not take a dime away from abortion funding (not paid for by government dollars) but will cause needless death, suffering, and probably more abortions.
