The individual explains that the reason for the call is LISD "Parent Appreciation Week." Please note that this individual is not affiliated with LISD and anyone who receives such a call should report it to the local police department. Anyone associated with the district should not ask a parent for a student's direct phone number. As always, student safety is a high priority. We urge you to take this opportunity to talk with your child about safety measures, which include how to appropriately respond to unsolicited phone calls.
