Wow on the Texas GOP opposing the teaching of critical thinking skills in schools, because it might undermine the student's fixed beliefs and parental authority. That is just embarrassing. Reminds me of the following satirical video in which facts should not be taught to children, because it might confuse them when they go home. (See the following video starting at 4:52). The entire video is well worth watching because it is very funny and well-done.
