Thursday Morning Update

Greetings from somewhere other than Lewisville. Your editor and his family are on a family road trip, but the kids are still asleep, so we thought we would share some links with you. Hopefully Uncle Chainsaw and his buddies from the joint are taking good care of the house, and our pets. I'd better not find anymore motorcycle burnout marks on my dining room floor. Former Lewisville Mayor David Denison is being investigated by the FBI in relation to his role as a board member of the North Texas Tollway Authority. Nobody's talking about what the investigation is about, but NTTA is on the hook for $148,790 in legal bills, uncovered by the Dallas Morning News. I don't see how you rack up that much in legal bills unless it is a serious crime being investigated. Denison has not been charged with a crime at this point. This article we linked to in 2011 mentioned that Denison voluntarily disclosed that he had been a consultant and investor in a land purchase that involved land where a tollway was being built.

Lewisville Lake is currently at 519.53 feet, or nearly 2.5 feet low, and dropping by .06 feet per day.
