Lewisville SWAT Takes Castle Hills Man Into Custody After Threat

Via Lewisville Police Department:

At approximately 11:21 a.m. on 08/26/12, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of King Arthur Blvd, to investigate a threat. Officers had received credible information that the subject who resides at this residence had previously threatened to harm his estranged wife, followed by harming himself.

The first officers on scene established a perimeter and made attempts to contact the subject. Members of the Lewisville Police Department SWAT team and Hostage Negotiations unit were also present. During the negotiations process, the subject exited the rear of the residence and was quickly placed into protective custody, without incident, by members of the SWAT team. Prior to this, investigators were able to locate and confirm the safety of the estranged wife.

The subject was transported to the Lewisville Police Department for further evaluation. There are no criminal charges at this time.

During the incident, traffic along King Arthur Blvd near the immediate vicinity of the residence was diverted to adjacent streets. The scene was cleared at 2:25 p.m.
