Updated: Woman Dead, Boy Injured After Stabbing in Lewisville Thursday Night

Via Lewisville Police:

Lewisville Police were dispatched to 1020 Fox Ave. (Basswood Manor Apartments) on a stabbing call at 7:25 p.m. An uninvolved female at the location called 911 and advised there was a fight between a man and a woman and the woman was bleeding from being stabbed. Lewisville police officers responded to the location and found an adult, 39 year old female victim and a juvenile male victim at the location. Officers observed that both persons had been stabbed and called for Lewisville medics, who had been staged off site, to come to the scene. The juvenile male victim was transported to an area hospital via Care Flight at 8:00 p.m., and is currently receiving medical care for his injuries. The 39 year old female victim was transported via ambulance to an area hospital at 7:44 p.m. The adult female victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital shortly after her arrival as a result of the injuries she sustained. The 24 year old male suspect was not on scene when police arrived at the offense location. The suspect was taken to an area hospital by a known adult male to receive medical care for injuries to his person. It is unknown at this time whether the injuries to the suspect are self inflicted, or were received during the altercation at the apartment. Lewisville Detectives are still in the process of establishing the exact relationship between the suspect and the victims. The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged accordingly once the investigation is complete.
