Where's Molly Ivins?

God I miss Molly Ivins. Our incredibly biased state legislature has been severely slapped down twice this past week. The Voter ID legislation was rejected as an obvious attempt to disenfranchise minority participation, and the over-the-top attempt to prevent minority representation by some particularly nasty redistricting maneuvers were shot down by federal appeals courts.

The Lege says they will persist in getting these prejudicial packages shoved down our throats. They get an A for persistence, but prove their lack of intelligence with every pronouncement.

But good old Reichsfuerher Abbott says he’ll appeal all the way to the Supremes, bless his heart.

Only Marvelous Molly Ivins could do this fiasco justice; I wish I could channel her.
