Poster: PKelly Posted: 2011/1/23 15:22:48 The only 1831 date I saw (and I think I looked at most all of them) was a birthdate. It was for a young girl named Matilda that died at the age of 14 (1845). Her marker that was so far under a dead tree it looks like the roots may have started pushing up the marker. I didn't even see it until about 1/2 of the tree was cleared away. I have no expertise, but I would not be shocked if ground penetrating radar revealed more grave sites that are not marked (head stones weather away, marker buried, vandals, etc). Frenchy's group did an absolutely fantastic job and lunch was very good. |
