I don't want to live next to a pedophile but, as a woman, I sure don't want to live by a rapist. I just don't see the list as a scam. I do believe that prosecutors want to win. They wouldn't be good prosecutors if they didn't. However, the other side of the equation is the defense attorney who, by the way, also wants to win. You don't go into court alone. If a case is circumstantial, a good defense attorney should be able to poke holes in it. If you take a plea, that is your choice and you live with the consequences. I just don't get your anger other than I feel like you have been in this situation and feel that you got a raw deal. Why would a child lie? What would they have to gain? |
