Poster: Anonymous Posted: 2012/5/2 0:49:47 I have already voted and I voted for Paige. I think that Paige is the missing link needed to complete the puzzle. I feel that she will be fair AND equitable to ALL students in LISD and she will NOT be the board member to sit back and be a "band-wagon" board member voter. She is going to ask the tough questions, do her research and look for new ideas. I honestly doubt that she will be Brenda Latham's puppet because Paige is a very strong and independent woman much like Brenda. Kathy Duke's past board performance was very vanilla so to speak. She is a nice person, but you are not voted into office because of your nice qualities, you are voted in because of your willingness to be a good listener, communicator, and an independent thinker, qualities she did not exhibit previously on the board. My question to Kathy would be...."What are you going to say or do differently than what you did before"? My greatest fear if Kathy being re-elected is her falling under Kyer's thumb once again. But who knows, hopefully and maybe Duke learned her lesson this time. |
