There were several mushrooms that had started to sprout - and they do come up quickly, just within a few hours. Several of them had popped up in the afternoon that were not there in the morning that day as he had used manure and peat to enrich the soil a couple weeks before. That night, the slugs got each and every mushroom, including the one that had just barely surfaced. They ate all the way down into the ground to the bottom of the mushrooms. I think he would like to capture one if he could. He's enjoyed doing the time lapse thing with them. Here's another time lapse he took of his plants perking back up after watering: |
