Poster: WhosPlayin Posted: 2012/6/19 23:08:24 Smoking is a choice with very real impacts on health. My health insurance premiums shouldn't subsidize that habit. I think all of that cost ought to be allocated to smokers. Personal choices like smoking, diet, and behavior are the biggest things I think we would have to deal with if we ever moved to a single-payer health system, because it's not fair to externalize all that risk on the people who do the right things for their health. |
