Poster: Anonymous Posted: 2012/8/7 14:58:42 I think just the opposite. I think the board came together and worked out a short-term solution to a short–term issue. Where in recent board decisions do you see that the board, which Mr. Knapp and Ms. Gregg were members of, directed any agenda? As for 'derailing the process of appointing a replacement for Mr. Knapp', the board was not meeting to appoint a replacement. They were meeting to, as per the posted agenda, “Consider Options to Fill Unexpired Term of Board Member who Moved out of District”. Under TEC code the options were to fill the position with a special election, appoint a member to finish out the term or due to short time left on the position, leave the position open. They considered the options, met among themselves and came up with a short-term solution; one that did not cause conflict or worse yet, cost the district money – money we need for our district. |
